I love how he wrote this. He always talks about being in communion with artists through their art, even if that art is hundreds of years old. Museum-going is deeply meaningful for him, almost spiritual, in a sense.

I really needed his message rn tbh. I’m sitting on my bed in front of a Frida Kahlo painting (reproduction) that I own and crying because of a job interview that went bad, so his message came at the right time.

I was wondering if he had made it over the La Casa Azul! So glad he got to see one of the most beautiful places in Mexico. This neighborhood in CDMX is one of the most magical places on earth.

“thank you for the love and struggle”
Joon always includes pain when it comes to love and life, not as a negative aspect of it, but to say life and love do come with pain, and it’s normal. That’s what living is about, we have to take the joy *and* the pain. And you can’t live without love. It’s love that makes us fight to overcome the struggles. It’s what motivates us to keep going. And sometimes it’s love that brings the struggles lol, but that’s why life is a beautiful mess. It’s not always good, but it’s not all bad.
And this brings back Joon’s lyrics “I live, so I love” We can’t do one without the other.
