That was incredible. I watched the video with a friend who doesn’t follow Kpop, and he was blown away by the universal theme of Boompala. It compliments the Macarena sample and how the song is known worldwide. He even said Boompala feels like a big deal. That says it all as far as I’m concerned. Fantastic song and video, I see it going viral.

I’m not the biggest fan of the choreo they’ve shown, but I absolutely love the song. Never thought I’d be listening to a macarena sample in kpop lol. The song slaps though. I love the deep voice singing.

Said it before, I’ll say it again — this isn’t FEARLESS 2.0, it’s ANTIFRAGILE 2.0. I don’t normally commit to an opinion on a song or a music video right away, but I’m 100% confident in saying this is their best and most creatively interesting MV since Antifragile. And that’s saying A LOT.

I actually watched the Spotify Live performance beforehand and already had some concerns about the direction of the song, but I held off on fully judging it until I heard the studio version. As much as I love the girls, this one really let me down if I’m being completely honest.
I already thought sampling a song like *Macarena* was a pretty big risk, so I was hoping they’d deviate from the original sound as much as possible while using it as inspiration. But the final result honestly just sounds like *Macarena* with a bit of Lsfm flavor added to it. If they were going to keep it this similar to the original anyway, I almost wish they had fully committed to the upbeat energy so it could at least be just as fun and danceable. *Boompala* feels a lot more muted in comparison. The song is very repetitive, but it’s not as addicting as *Macarena*.
Definitely not one of my favorite title tracks from them, but I’m still excited to hear the rest of the album!

The Macarena sample enhanced the song well, and the whole “I am not fearless” message is so well-done, too! It’s so honest and very on-brand for Le Sserafim! Never mind all of those haters who say silly things like “this is not authentic Le Sserafim.”
