  1. I’m interested to see if this leads into an increase in production from Black Label artists.

  2. After BLACKPINK’s renewal expires YG is just gonna be dead in a ditch. They’ve truly lost pretty much everything in the space of like 2 years.

Tagged rumor because even though it is confirmed they bought their own office, the speculation about becoming independent is just that – speculation.

TBL bought ‘Hannam W Office’ near Itaewon Station after being located at YG Headquarters since its creation. YG used to be the majority shareholder at 45% but has since decreased to 21%, with new shareholder Saehan Startup Investment (33%) being cited as having a significant role in the relocation. It is also believed other major shareholders are pushing to get YGE away from TBL.

  4. Predictable with the way The Black Label have been running backstage the last couple of years and slowly becoming independent.

They needed to slowly cut ties to become a separate entity, especially with YG slowly loosing weight in the Kpop market.

Curious to see if they currently have the funds and the pool of trainees to actually debut a significant amount of groups in the next years tho. Teddy with his qualities and his defaults know the public’s taste and is still able to produce hits so his girl group will be interesting to follow.
